Frequently asked questions

How do I connect Apple Health?
FitMyLife asks for Apple Health (HealthKit) access during onboarding. If you skipped it, open the iOS Settings app → Apps → Health → Data Access & Devices → FitMyLife, and turn on the categories you want (steps, distance, heart rate, sleep, workouts, and so on). FitMyLife only ever reads from Apple Health — it never writes data back.
My steps, sleep, or heart rate aren't showing up.
This is almost always a permissions issue. Check that the relevant categories are enabled in Settings → Apps → Health → Data Access & Devices → FitMyLife. Heart rate and sleep are recorded by an Apple Watch or a compatible device — if you don't wear one, those figures may be empty. After granting access, reopen FitMyLife so it can read the latest data.
The lock-screen workout card (Live Activity) didn't appear.
Make sure Live Activities are enabled for the app in Settings → FitMyLife → Live Activities (and system-wide in Settings → Face ID & Passcode → Live Activities). Start a workout via Quick Start and the card appears on your Lock Screen and Dynamic Island. You can minimise the app during a workout and the card keeps running.
How does the AI meal analysis work, and is my data private?
When you ask FitMyLife to analyse a meal, only that meal photo (or the text you type) is sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, to identify foods and estimate nutrition. No name, account, or health metrics are sent — the app has no account system. Everything else stays on your device. See our Privacy Policy for the full detail.
How do I manage, cancel, or restore my subscription?
Subscriptions are handled by Apple through the App Store. To view, change, or cancel: open the iOS Settings app, tap your name → Subscriptions → FitMyLife. To restore a purchase on a new device, open FitMyLife → Settings and tap Restore Purchases. Refund requests are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
How do I export or delete my data?
Your data lives on your device. To export it, open Settings → Privacy → Download My Data for a JSON archive. To delete it, use the delete options in the app, or simply uninstall FitMyLife to remove its local database. You can revoke Apple Health access any time in the iOS Health app.
Which devices and iOS versions are supported?
FitMyLife is an iPhone app and runs on recent versions of iOS. An Apple Watch is optional but recommended for live heart-rate and calorie tracking during workouts. If something looks wrong after an update, restarting your iPhone resolves most display glitches.
